Esposito signs on to play at Marshall

Amity senior Mark Esposito has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball at Marshall University.

Esposito said he will play third baseman and see time in the bullpen for the Thundering Herd of Conference USA.

The younger brother of former Spartans standout Jason Esposito, Mark Esposito said his decision came down to Marshall, Maryland and High Point. Perfect Game, a baseball scouting service, ranks Mark Esposito as the No. 3 third baseman in the nation.

"Throughout my brother's process of looking at schools and fining his skills to be the best was something I wanted," Mark Esposito said. "I knew it wasn't going to be easy but with his guidance and motivation rubbing off on me, I finally achieved my dream of playing D1 ball."
