Thursday's Highlights

No. 15 Manchester 2, No. 31 Hamden 1: Dan Sullivan’s two-run double lifted Manchester over Hamden.
Kyle Laubon picked up the win for Manchester.
No. 3 Pomperaug 6, No. 14 Cheshire 5: A six-run third inning propelled the Panthers over the Rams.
Matt Jefferis went 2-for-4 with three RBIs for the Rams.
No. 8 Xavier 7, No. 9 New Britain 4: Kevin Landers had two hits and two RBIs as the Falcons beat the Hurricanes.
Greg Marino added two hits, two runs and an RBI for Xavier.
No. 1 Amity 8, No. 16 Windsor 0: Joe Ciancola struck out eight and allowed one hit through five innings as the Spartans blanked Windsor. Ciancola added two RBIs and Brian Kernan went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs.
No. 6 Law 1, No. 11 Torrington 0: Brett Michael Doran reached on a walk and later scored on an error for the game’s only run as the Lawmen blanked the Red Raiders in the second round at Milford.
Doran also tossed a one-hitter with eight strikeouts for Law. Joe Mateo threw a one-hitter for Torrington.
No. 5 Notre Dame-West Haven 8, No. 21 Branford 3: T.J. Shea had two hits and two RBIs as the Green Knights beat the Hornets.
No. 25 North Branford 5, No. 9 Wolcott 2: Dan Esposito tossed a three-hitter and had two hits and two RBIs. Jesse Castaldi and Anthony Vorio both homered for the Thunderbirds.
No. 23 Westbrook 6, No. 7 Wheeler 0: Dane Pallotto went the distance, striking out four and allowing just five hits in Westbrook’s win.
John Mooney had two RBIs for Westbrook.
