SCC Tournament picture
With Hand’s 14-13 loss to Fairfield Prep Saturday, the Tigers are now eliminated from the SCC playoffs.
Division winners Amity (Housatonic), Branford (Oronoque), Foran (Hammonasset by tie-breaker) and Notre Dame-West Haven (Quinnipiac by tie-breaker) have clinched spots.
Amity has clinched the top seed and Branford secured the No. 2 spot.
West Haven, Cheshire, Fairfield Prep, Sheehan and Xavier are in the mix for the final four spots. If Xavier loses Tuesday to Shelton, the Falcons will be eliminated.
The SCC tournament schedule is as follows...
Quarterfinals: Tuesday, May 24 @Quigley Stadium & West Haven HS - Times TBA
Semifinals: Thursday, May 26 – 4 and 7 p.m. @Yale Field
Championship Game: Saturday, May 28 – 12 noon @Yale Field
