Register Top 10 Poll

Pomperaug has been unanimously voted the top team in the state in the final Register Top 10 baseball poll.

The Panthers won their final 22 games of the season and capped the year with the school's first state baseball title with a 2-1 win over Xavier in the Class LL final on Sunday.

Amity polished off an undefeated regular season with wins over Foran, West Haven and Law last week. The Spartans head into the SCC tournament Tuesday as the unanimous No. 1 team in the latest Register Top 10 poll.

Amity scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning Saturday in a 4-3 win over Notre Dame-West Haven to avoid its first loss. Amity remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the Register Top 10 poll.
