Andrew Fitzsimmons drove in Andrew Hollis with a single in the eighth inning to lift Fairfield Prep to a 5-4 win over Lyman Hall.

Mike Ippolito had two hits, including a two-run home run, in Derby’s 16-4 victory over Wilby. Brian Dobek added a three-run triple for the Red Raiders.

Newtown beat Stratford 5-4. Ryan Sosik had a three-run triple for the Red Devils. Andy Lapple had three hits and an RBI for Newtown.

Anthony Vorio homered as North Branford beat East Hampton 7-3. Sage Leonard had three hits for the Thunderbirds.

Shane Sweeney went 3-for-5 with a double, three RBIs and three runs in O’Brien Tech’s 18-9 victory over Vinal Tech.
