Branford coach George Dummar earned his 100th career win as Branford beat Guilford 9-5. Anthony Pellegrino’s RBI single sparked a five-run sixth inning for the Hornets.

Pat DeToro’s grand slam lifted Xavier to a 14-6 win over Hamden. Connor Landers added a three-run home run for the Falcons.

Pat Falkoff threw a shutout, striking out seven and allowing just three hits in Hamden Hall’s 2-0 win over St. Luke’s. Marc Cafasso and Mike Cox each had a sacrifice fly for the Hornets.

Seymour came from behind to knock off Crosby 7-5. Jim Vartelas had two hits, including a double, and two runs. He also picked up the win in relief, retiring all eight batters he faced.

Ryan Zahornasky had three hits, including a home run, and two RBIs in Shelton’s 12-2 win over Lyman Hall.
