Monday's Highlights

Amity 2, Foran 0: Joe Ciancola threw a four-hitter, struck out seven and didn't walk a batter in the Spartans win over Foran. Ciancola also added two hits and an RBI.

Law 8, Cheshire 1:
Brett Michael Doran had a three-run home run and an RBI single to lift the Lawmen over the Rams.

Bunnell 8, New Milford 5: Bryan Castelot had three hits and four RBIs in the Bulldogs victory.

Derby 8, Woodland 5: Ryan Skelly had a grand slam as part of a five-run fifth inning for the Red Raiders.

Hopkins 5, Rye 1:
Max Luciani scored three runs as the No. 3 Hilltoppers knocked off No. 2 Rye in the Fairchester League playoffs. Hopkins will host No. 4 Brunswick for the league title today. Brunswick upset top seed Hamden Hall 3-1.

Morgan 8, Westbrook 3: Zak Repscher had a double, triple and three RBIs for the Huskies.

North Haven 7, Hamden 1: Eric Yavarone had three hits, including two triples, and two RBIs for the Indians.

Old Saybrook 11, Hale-Ray 0: Sophomore Justin Beal and freshman Alex Cabral combined to pitch a no-hitter for the Rams. Beal added three hits and two RBIs.

West Haven 11, Lyman Hall 3:
Tom Spencer homered, doubled and had three RBIs in the Westies win.

Xavier 11, East Haven 1: Oliver Hart had a three-run home run and four RBIs as the Falcons snapped East Haven's seven-game winning streak.
