Wednesday's Highlights
Hopkins 9, Brunswick 0: David O’Brien pitched a complete-game shutout and allowed just two hits as the Hilltoppers beat Brunswick for the Fairchester League championship. It was O’Brien’s first start of the season. Mike Iannotti went 2-for-3 with four RBIs for the Hilltoppers.
Law 2, East Haven 1: Josh Rouse’s fourth inning double drove in both runs for the Lawmen. Brett Michael Doran threw a complete game, allowing just six hits for Law.
Hillhouse 11, Hyde 5: Winning pitcher Will Diaz had three hits, including a double, for the Academics.
Hand 11, Wilbur Cross 1: Jeff Buck had a double, triple, home run and four RBIs to lead the Tigers their victory.
O’Brien Tech 8, Abbott Tech 5: Shane Sweeney and Chad Sweeney each had two hits and two RBIs for the Condors.
Xavier 4, Cheshire 2: Greg Marino had three hits and two RBIs to lead the Falcons.
Amity 7, West Haven 4: Mark Esposito picked up the save, had three hits and three RBIs for the Spartans.
