Thursday's Highlights

Shelton 7, Career 5: Trailing 3-2 heading into the seventh, the Gaels scored five runs in the seventh inning to beat the Panthers.
Eric Christensen had two hits and two runs for Shelton.

Law 4, Xavier 3: Jeff Rouse had a solo home run while Brett Michael Doran scored the go-ahead run on a stolen base and overthrow in Law’s victory.
Oliver Hart had a two-run homer for Xavier.

Fairfield Prep 2, Hand 0: Max Freccia allowed just three hits to pick up the win for the Jesuits.

Haddam-Killingworth 8, Portland 1: Andrew Brough had two hits and three RBIs for the Cougars.

Lyman Hall 4, Wilbur Cross 2: P.J. Higgins went 4-for-4 with two RBIs for the Trojans.

O’Brien Tech Sweeps Whitney Tech: The Condors beat the Inventors 9-6 in the opener and followed with a 5-3 victory. Chris Turaj picked up the win in the opener and went 1-for-1 with two RBIs in the nightcap.

Stratford 6, Notre Dame-Fairfield 2: Alex Tyler had three hits and three RBIs in the Red Devils win.

Valley Regional 20, North Branford 5: Tim Mesite went 4-for-5 with a double and two triples for the Warriors.
