MONDAY'S RECAP
Hand 4, Foran 3: Kyle Anderson had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs for the host Tigers, who won the SCC Hammonasset Division title with a victory over the Lions at Madison.
Scott Braren had an RBI double for Hand (8-7). Chris Yee had two hits and an RBI for the Lions (7-7).
Coginchaug 4, Valley Regional 1: Jack Granger hit a home run for the visiting Blue Devils in a Shoreline Conference win at Deep River.
Steve Thody and Charlie Anderson had doubles for Coginchaug (9-6). Dan Thayer had a home run for the Warriors (5-9).

Shelton 5, Guilford 1: Tyler Tice, Justin Lynch and Ed Groth had two hits apiece for the host Gaels in an SCC interdivision win. Shelton is 10-5.
Wolcott 5, Derby 1: Mike Meier’s three-run homer in the seventh highlighted Wolcott’s Naugatuck Valley League win at Derby.
Jason Matos added a hit and two RBIs for the Eagles (15-0). Victor Soto had two hits for Derby (8-8).
Haddam-Killingworth 6, Old Saybrook 3: Jake Decarli pitched a complete game, allowed five hits and struck out six for the host Cougars in a Shoreline Conference win at Higganum.

No. 10 Fairfield Prep 4, Notre Dame-West Haven 0: David Gerics had a single, triple and two RBIs for the visiting Jesuits in an SCC Quinnipiac Division win at West Haven. Fairfield Prep is 12-4, 4-2.
Ansonia 1, Seymour 0: Matt Pitney’s single — Ansonia’s only hit of the game — drove in Bobby Schryver in the seventh to lift the Chargers to a walk-off win at Ansonia.
It was Pitney’s third walk-off hit of the season. Adam Thayer struck out seven and allowed five hits for Ansonia (9-6). Nick Kuzia tossed a one-hitter and struck out five for Seymour (6-10).
